Educational Activities

Every human being in modern society is entitled to receive and see the light of education. And, it is obligatory on the part of NGOs. and the community at large to light the lamp of education for all the children without any caste and creed with emphasis on slum dwellers, poorer section and those below poverty line. It is a matter of great enthusiasm that our national constitution has provided guarantee for the right of free and compulsory education. Although there is consensus in favour of this right, unfortunately illiteracy had engulfed this provision and hampered process.

Majority of people and children are ignorant of it and its implication. It was therefore imperative that nationwide national campaign was adopted by all the patriotic and intellegesia to join the mission. Its fragrance was to spread in each and every village and localities covering urban dwellers, slums and poverty-stricken people. Participation of children in age group of 6 – 14 and their continuation towards VIII standard was vital for the upbringing of children and to put them in the main stream. Besides the non-school going children and dropouts had to be taken care of to eradicate illiteracy and bring the poorer above the poverty line. The parents are reluctant to send their children for education because of inadequate fiscal resources and lack of facilities provided to them.

And, in its deliberations involved expert, activists, educationists and NGOs. It encouraged public and private partnership to attain the goal so that India emerges as knowledge-based economy and society. One cannot build the castle in the air and our foundation of knowledge should be strong enough to sustain any amount of load.

This programmes also envisage improvement in human capabilities among all the children. In this direction, participation and involvement of the community right from the grass-root level will be of paramount importance.

It was obligatory to survey the areas to be incorporated in the field of our activities and to formulate a strategy to suit and meet the wishes of the community and the aspirants. It necessitated a door-to-door approach and contacts with the children and their parents. The survey revealed an encouraging response towards education. However, there were certain factors to be reckoned with before we implement the purpose of the Mission. The main problem encountered by the parents was the economy. Here RSS give the supporting hand for these type of people.
